Wheelchair for Ponni

Ponni, a 11th standard student from Bangalore, India is in immediate need of a wheelchair to help her get back to normal life. She suffered from hypoxic encephalopathy, lack of blood supply to the brain in May, 2018, and went into coma. She is slowly recovering, but there is some brain damage which cannot be reversed. Currently admitted at St. John’s hospital, she is undergoing rehabilitation treatment to improve her functional abilities.

Ponni’s father is a construction laborer and mother is a home maker. She has two married brothers and another brother who is working as a driver. The family is not able to afford the wheelchair that she needs desperately in her condition. They approached MicroCharity for financial assistance.

MicroCharity approves fund request of Rs.9,500, the cost of the wheelchair.

Fund raising closed for this cause. Rs.9,500 is raised from 7 micro donations in 4 days. We will buying the wheelchair and handing over it to Ponni soon.
