Vocational course Fee for a deserving girl

Stecy is the 3rd of 9 children in her family. She has 2 elder brothers who were forced to go to work to make both ends meet. The eldest brother works as a boy in a hospital at Shillong. The  2nd brother also goes to work for daily wages but he is too young to work. Her mother is sick, but is forced to do household work in the neighborhood to support her family. Four of her younger siblings are in school, and two are too young for school. The youngest brother is just 1.5 years old. They have an old grandmother also with them. The poor family had to spend all they had for the treatment of her father, but she recently lost him to cancer. Stecy helps her mother with the household work in the neighborhood. They live in a two room rented house at Shillong. Stecy just passed her +2 exams.

MicroCharity is supporting this family by finding a seat for Stecy in  Nirmal Jyothi Technical Institute (http://nirmaljyothi.com/), Bannerghatta Road Road, Bangalore. This institute is affiliated to National council of Vocational Training and established in the year of 1995 by Salesian Sisters of Don Bosco, a worldwide congregation catering to the educational and employment needs of the poor young girls of Karnataka and the other states of India. They run various employment oriented programmes exclusively for girls. They have a pretty good track record of campus placements as most of their students are recruited by various corporates in Bangalore. They primarily run Medical Transcription / Modern Secretarial practice courses. They start with an orientation course and based on each candidates skill and choice they admit them to respective courses.

The  Course Fee + Hostel Fee + Mess Fee for entire 1 year course duration is Rs 28,000.

July 20, 2012 - College Fee Paid
Stecy arrived bangalore on July 15th. MicroCharity paid the college fee of Rs. 28,000.  She joined the course and classes have already started. She will undergo an orientation program for two months and then based on the evaluation will move on to Medical Transcription or Office Secretary Course.
Nov 15, 2012 - Stecy is doing well in her studies
Stecy has completed the orientation program of her course and has moved on to Medical Transcription. She is one of the best students as per institute reports. Her big family is glad and is looking forward to her as a support in the future.
01 Aug, 2013 - Stecy is employed now
Stecy did her best in her Medical Transcription course and was offered a job through campus placement at one of the premier company – Fortis Healthcare, Bangalore. Today, Stecy is capable of supporting her family and isextremely grateful to each individual who supported during these crucial times.
