Suma Thomas from Changanassery, Kerala has been suffering from high blood pressure and diabetes, which lead to acute kidney injury. She is currently undergoing dialysis at Pushpagiri Hospital, Thiruvalla. She is also suffering from a heart complaint and an infection. Doctors at a hospital close by advised her to undergo a surgery. So they went to another hospital, where the doctors are positive that her disease can be controlled with medication.
Suma is working as a housemaid and is not able to continue her work these days. She stays with her mother and 2 sons aged 20 and 19, working as daily wage labourers. Between them, the family earns very little. They already paid Rs. 60,000 at St. Thomas Hospital, Chetipuzha. They need another 1.2 to 2 lakhs at the current hospital for treatment. The family cannot afford this, and they approached MicroCharity for financial assistance.
