Pradeesh was working on a temporary job as a peon, when Crohn’s disease threw his life out of gear at the young age of 30 years. He had a block in his intestine, and a surgery was done to temporarily fix the problem. During the surgery, a bag was attached to his body to collect the waste from his intestine. He now needs another surgery to remove the bag and connect the intestine. The first surgery cost the family Rs. 2.5 lakhs.
Pradeesh’s dad is working as a coolie and his mom, a house maid. He’s married and his first child is just 4 months old. With Pradeesh being unable to work, his aged dad’s income is what sustains his family. They have already borrowed heavily from a co-operative bank, and also from friends to finance the first surgery. The next one would cost Rs.2.5 lakhs again and the family is in no position to fund this. He now needs our help to get back on track.
