Kidney Transplant between Siblings

Jiju is suffering from chronic kidney disease and is on hemodialysis twice a week. Renal transplantation is his only chance of survival. One of his two sisters is ready to be the donor. But the cost of transplantation is unbearable for his poor family.
The 35 year old is living with his widowed mother. He is undergoing treatment at Lissie Hospital, Ernakulum, since March 2012 (MRD No.267815). The whole village is supporting the family. They have raised Rs. 3,00,000 so far. The fund required for the surgery is Rs. 5,00,000.

April 23, 2013 - MicroCharity approves the fund request
MicroCharity approved Rs. 50,000 to support the siblings’ fight against the disease.
April 29, 2013 - Fund Raising Closed
Fund raising is closed for this cause. We raised Rs 50,000 from 17 micro donations in 6 days. We will shortly hand over the money to Jiju.
