Kidney transplant from Mother to Son

Bino has lost both his kidneys and is now surviving on dialysis. A kidney transplant is imminently required to keep him alive. His 65 year old mother is ready to donate her kidney, the cross matching is complete, and the family now requires Rs. 5 lakhs against the cost of transplantation.
Bino lives in Kottayam, Kerala with his wife and two kids aged 6 and 2. He was an auto driver and the family has a poor financial background. Now, dialysis is being done thrice every week and even this is not affordable by the family.
Bino’s friends and neighbors are working together to raise the fund required for the surgeries.
June 28, 2013 - MicroCharity approves the fund request
MicroCharity approved Rs. 60,000 to support Bino’s fight for survival. Deadline for raising the fund is July 15, 2013.
July 04, 2013 - Fund Raising Completed
Fund Raising is completed for this cause. Rs 60,000 is raised from 20 micro donations in 6 days. We will be handing over the money to Bino shortly
Aug 10, 2013 - Surgery Scheduled
Bino’s surgery is scheduled by hospital on 15-Oct-2013.
