Home Oxygen Kit to help breathing

65 year old Theresa is suffering from severe breathing issues. She is undergoing treatment for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease(COPD) for about 4 years. The illness wakes her up every half an hour during her sleep, and she has difficulty in speaking.
She lives with her son and his family at Thilaknagar, Bangalore. Her son works as a driver. The eldest of his three daughters lost her ability to speak after a vaccination at the age of two. She is being treated at Nimhans, Bangalore for neuro disorder and the family is spending Rs. 6000 a month on this. The family is financially poor.
Doctors at St. John’s Hospital, Bangalore has advised to use an oxygen kit, which would help Theresa in breathing. The kit costs Rs. 39,000.

Microcharity approves this cause and decided to raise to Rs 39,000 to buy a home oxygen kit for Theresa.

MicroCharity purchased the Oxygen Kit and installed at Theresa’s home and customized it as per advice from the doctor. She could breathe better using the machine for a while, and then the issue worsened again. After investigations, doctors are advising to replace the default mask with a specialized one to help Theresa breathe. The special mask costs Rs. 2,500. MicroCharity is approving fund to purchase the mask.
