Help in setting up a small shop

Sabir Khan, aged 29 years was a welder by profession. He met with an accident about 6 months back and injured his spine, which made him paraplegic; paralyzed below the hip. He is now at St. John’s hospital, Bangalore and was one of the beneficiaries of the Wheelchair Donation initiative from MicroCharity.

Sabir is now moving around cheerfully in a wheelchair and will be discharged from the hospital on Monday, February 3, 2014. Undeterred by his disability, he is planning to open a small shop, which is basically a metal box usually provided for people with disabilities. The total cost for the shop comes to Rs. 70,000 of which he has collected some amount from his friends and relatives. He requested MicroCharity to help with Rs. 35,000 to set up his shop.

Jan 29, 2014 - MicroCharity approves the fund request
MicroCharity approves the fund request of Rs. 35,000. Sabir has agreed to make regular contributions to MicroCharity from the revenue he generates from his shop.
Jan 31, 2014 - Rs. 35,000 raised from 16 Donors
Rs. 35,000 raised from 16 Donors in about 2 days. The amount will be handed over to Sabir on Feb 3, 2014 while he is discharged from the hospital.
