Help in buying two-wheeler for Lijan

With a little help from us, Lijan can overcome his disability and start earning again. Lijan was a daily wage labourer and earning enough to sustain his family till he fell down from a tree 7 years back. He is paralyzed below the waist and is now scraping a living, making umbrellas and also washing powder at home. Lijan’s wife is a construction worker. His son is studying in 7th standard and daughter in 3rd standard.

A volunteer approached MicroCharity for help in buying a customized two-wheeler, which will help him market his products or even sell lottery tickets to earn money. This would be a major support for the family’s daily expenses and kids’ education. The cost of two-wheeler including customization comes to Rs.80,000. Friends and well-wishers have promised to give Rs.20,000.

MicroCharity approves fund request of Rs.60,000.

Fund raising closed for this cause. Rs.60,000 from 19 micro donations in 23 days. We will be buying the two wheeler and handing over to Lijan shortly.
