Anu Pradeep and family are struggling to get back on their feet, after her small shop was destroyed in the flood. Anu is living with her aged in-laws and 2 school-going children in a their house, in 15 cents of land. Her husband, Pradeep Kumar was a chronic patient who passed away 2 years back leaving a lot of liabilities incurred for his medical treatment. They sold off some of their land to pay back the loans.
Anu was getting started again with a small ladies’ shop at her village, when the floods struck and took away most of her possessions. She needs at least Rs.150,000 to re-establish her business. Add to that the children’s education and Anu will not be able to do it on her own. She needs help from well-wishers and friends who would support her and family in their time of desperate need.
