They have an education loan approved for Aneeta as well, but the family is not able to pay the initial contribution required from their end. The family is staying in a small house built on 4.5 cents of land, and even that has been mortgaged to fund their children’s education.
Aneeta’s admission process is completed at a college in Tamilnadu, but they are not able to pay the fee. So they approached MicroCharity for financial assistance.
Aneeta needs our help in starting her BSc Nursing course. Her father is working as a driver earning Rs. 12,000 per month and her mother is working as a salesgirl in a shop earning Rs. 6,000 per month. Aneeta’s sister is also studying for BSc. Nursing funded by an education loan.
Robins Johns and his family lost their house and land completely in a landslide that happened in Vadakkemala, Idukki on 16th October 2020. His father got a major fracture on his leg. The bone was cut horizontally, and this has rendered him completely bedridden. His mother is a homemaker.
Premkumar is currently in 10th standard. The family has not been able to pay the school fees for a couple of years now, and the school will not allow him to attend his final exams without paying the due. The family needs to pay Rs. 1,00,000 as school fees now. So they approached MicroCharity for financial assistance.
Premkumar’s father was working as an autorickshaw driver, before he was diagnosed with kidney failure. He is currently undergoing regular dialysis and is not able to work anymore. His mother is working as a housekeeping staff, but she is not able to earn enough to take care of her husband’s treatment and the family’s daily expenses.
Ann Rose is now in 10th grade, getting ready for the preparatory exams, but the family is not able to pay her yearly fee. They paid Rs. 12,000 of the total fee of Rs. 48,000, with help from friends and well-wishers. Her sister who is in 12th grade is able to continue her studies with help from nuns from the local convent.
The school will not allow Ann Rose to sit for the exams unless she clears the pending fee. The family approached MicroCharity for help in this urgent situation.
Ann Rose’s father lost his job during Covid, closed down his business, abandoned his family, and stopped supporting them. Her mother is working as a nurse at a local hospital earning Rs. 25,000 per month which is not enough to take care of the expenses of 2 school-going daughters.
The hospital bill came to Rs. 11 lakhs of which he paid Rs. 9 lakhs with help from friends and well-wishers. The hospital has given Saji some more time to pay the pending amount. His family consists of 2 young daughters who are still in school, his aged mother and mother-in-law. Saji’s wife passed away from cancer a few years back and he is the only earning member of this family of 5.
Currently admitted to a physiotherapy centre at Dharmashala, Kannur, he needs intensive physiotherapy for many months before he can walk again. Monthly expenses come to Rs. 20,000 and the family is in no position to pay this amount. Saji and his family approached MicroCharity for financial assistance.
Saji, a 49-year-old auto driver, suffered a stroke in his sleep and became paralyzed a few months ago. He underwent 3 major surgeries at MIMS, Kannur and is showing slight improvement. Prior to this, he was working as an auto driver, but currently he is not able to do any work or move around by himself.
Anju is in desperate need of financial assistance since her college will not let her appear for her BPharm second-semester exams if she has not cleared the pending fee payments. Her father is working as a driver, and her mother is a receptionist. The family earns just enough to manage their daily expenses.come.

Saniya’s family is in dire need of our help, to start her BSc Nursing Course in Karnataka. Her family in Thrissur, Kerala consists of her father, mother, sister, grandfather, and grandmother living together in a small rented house. Her father is a union worker earning very little each month, her mother is a housewife, and her younger sister is a student. Saniya’s grandmother is a cancer patient, and her treatment takes up a big part of the family’s income.
