Usha and family have been staying in a rented house for a long time. They have 2.5 cents of land which they bought a few years back, but they were not able to start constructing the house. The family was recently allocated Rs. 2,80,000 for house construction through the Prime Minister’s Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. But they have no means to arrange the rest of the funds required for house construction.
Usha is working as housekeeping staff. Her husband who was working as a daily wager is not able to work anymore after he recently had an accident. Their children are in school, and the family makes barely enough money to take care of their children’s education, as well as their daily expenses. They reached out to MicroCharity for financial assistance in house construction.
