College fee for a needy student

Infant Jesus Mathew, a resident of Mysore is doing his first year Masters degree in Social Work. His dad is a painter whose work is not very stable because of the seasonality. Infant’s mother is a home maker, and he has 2 sisters, one of them married and the other working as a nurse. The working sister is also not able to support Infant’s education as she is paying back her own education loan from her salary.

Infant’s annual fee is Rs.72,060 out of which he has already paid Rs.52,060. He has to pay Rs.20,000 within this month and has no means to do it. He approached MicroCharity for help in paying his college fees for this year.

MicroCharity approves fund request of Rs. 20,000 to pay the college fee. MicroCharity will make the payment direct to the college.  We hope that Infant will be able to complete the course and support his struggling family in a few years.

Fund Raising is closed for this cause. Rs 20,000 is raised from 12 micro donations in 9 days. We will be paying the fee directly to the college shortly.

Infant done very well in his first year exams by scoring 74% marks.  He now has to pay his second year fees. He requested help again this yearas his family situations are not improved.
