Helping Fight against Blood Cancer by a young Man

Narasimharaju is diagnosed with blood cancer. The 25 year old young man is the only son of his parents. The family is going through tough times as one of his two sisters lost her husband recently. They live in a small house at Tumkur, Karnataka.

Hopefully, the cancer is in early stages and is curable. But the treatment is too expensive for the family. The parents are daily wage workers. He is admitted at St. John’s Hospital, Bangalore(Hospital Id: 2400816). The family requested to discharge the patient when they came to know about the expenses of the treatment. And then a hospital official remembered MicroCharity.

Chemotherapy and a course of injections has to be started as soon as possible. The hospital has offered discounts on their charges. The pharmaceutical company has also offered discounts. The first course of 5 injections will cost Rs. 8,500 per injection.

MicroCharity approved the fund request of Rs. 42,500. We need to raise this with in a week as injections need to be given to the patient in a week time.

Fund raising is closed for this cause.  We raised Rs 42,500 from 18 micro donations in 6 days. Narasimha raju will be given the medicines starting Monday, 22 April 2013.
