Manjusha and her family are struggling with medical expenses for her breast cancer treatment, when they were already burdened with the expenses of a surgery to help their 5-year-old-son walk again. Manjusha was diagnosed with cancer a few months back and went through surgery to remove one of her breasts.
She is staying with her husband who is a daily wage labourer, and 3 children aged 15 years, 9 years, and 5 years. The youngest son, Alwin is suffering from cerebral palsy, and the family was staying in a rented house near the little boy’s school, for ease of transportation. He recently underwent a surgery to help him walk.
Manjusha’s doctor has advised chemotherapy and radiation, the total cost of which would come to INR 1 lakh. The family has no way to pay for this treatment, since they are struggling with their daily expenses. They approached MicroCharity for financial assistance.
