Nursing College fee for Lincy

Lincy, studying for 1st year Nursing is the eldest daughter of Joy and Shiji. Shiji was married at a very young age, but lost her husband in 2011. After this unfortunate incident, Shiji has been struggling to bring up their 3 kids on her own. She found a job as cooking assistant in a convent nearby and has been continuing the kids’ education; Lincy completed her 12th standard, her sister is in 11th and her brother is in 8th standard.

Lincy’s dream of becoming a nurse has put a severe financial burden on them, in spite of help from friends and well-wishers. The total fees for 1st year is around Rs. 69,500, including Tuition, Hostel and other expenses. With the help of well wishers, they have paid Rs. 17,000 so far. The school has agreed to discount some of the tuition fees. The rest of the amount has to be paid by end of January and the family has no means of paying it. They approached MicroCharity for financial assistance.

January 31, 2016 - Fund Raising Completed
Fund raising is completed for this cause. Rs 35,000 is raised from 14 micro donations in 2 days. The fee will be paid directly to the college shortly.
Jan 16, 2017 - Fund Raising for semester I, 2017 (MCID-132-16-17)
Lincy completed her first year General Nursing and is awaiting results. She needs our help to pay the 2nd year fees of 64,000, over 2 semesters. MicroCharity approves 35,000 for the Semester I of this academic year.

Jan 19, 2017 – Fund raising is completed for this cause. Rs 35,000 is raised from 10 micro donations in 3 days. The fee will be paid directly to the college shortly.

December 27, 2017 - Fund Raising for third year (MCID-127-17-18)
Lincy has successfully completed her second year of Nursing. MicroCharity continues to support her with Rs. 35,000 for the third year fee, the total being Rs.64,000.

MicroCharity approves fund request of Rs. 35,000.

Jan 12, 2018 – Fund raising is completed for this cause. Rs 35,000 is raised from 12 micro donations in 16 days. The fee will be paid directly to the college shortly.
