House Construction for Jayan

Jayan, his wife and 2 young girls aged 16 and 14, need a permanent and safe house for themselves. He is currently working as a daily wage roofing worker, earning about Rs.8000 per month which is just enough for the girls’ education and daily expenses. They are currently staying at a reinforced tea shop on public property. This temporary structure provides no safety whatsoever for this family with young girls.

Few years back, they were allocated some property by the Panchayat for building a house. Due to lack of money, the family has not been able to finish the structure so far. The panchayat paid Rs. 75,000 which is not enough for them to complete the construction. They need at least Rs.1 lakh more, and hence they approached MicroCharity for financial assistance.

MicroCharity approves fund request of Rs. 75,000.

Fund Raising closed for this cause. Rs. 75,000 is raised from 16 micro donations in 13 days. We will be disbursing this amount stage wise as the house construction progress.
