56-year old Paily from Kannur, Kerala has been suffering from Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) for past five years. He was a rubber tapping worker and the sole bread-winner of the family, but has not been able to go to work due to his illness. His son, Jobin, is a seminary student and a brain cancer survivor. His daughter is doing MSW at a college nearby. The family is very poor with just 25 cents of lands as asset, and no other means of livelihood.
Paily’s medical expenses come to Rs.6000 per month in addition to occasional hospital visits and hospitalizations. The family is struggling to meet this financial burden, in addition to their daily expenses and approached MicroCharity for help.
