Eye surgery for Prasad

Prasad is 57 years old, and hails from Mallappally, Kerala. For the last 2 years, he has been suffering from poor eye sight, heart failure, hypertension and chronic kidney disease. He has no vision in his left eye, and steadily decreasing vision in his right eye. For this reason, he has not been able to work and support this family, who primarily depended on his income. He was working in a biscuit factory for many years, but the factory closed down and he lost his job. He also worked as a personal staff for a while, but could not continue the work due to his illness. His only son, Prem has completed BEd. degree but has not been employed yet. Prasad’s wife also falls ill very often and family has been spending a lot of money for medicines and other hospital expenses.

Doctors have advised him to undergo Vitreous surgery and IV A, at the earliest, to avoid become completely blind. Prasad’s family approached MicroCharity seeking financial support for the surgery and other medical expenses.

MicroCharity approves fund request of Rs.75,000.
