Support for a mentally challenged lady

Jenett, daughter of Joy, is 32-years old and has been suffering from mental illness for the past 18 years. They stay in Koonammavu, Kerala and has been undergoing treatment at Thanki hospital for the past few years.

She is under continuous medication costing approximately Rs.3000 per month, and occasionally gets admitted at the hospital when her condition is bad. Joy, her father is the only working member of the family. Joy is 72 years old and is not able to work regularly. Joby, Jenett’s brother used to work as a mason and earn for the family. But he met with an accident 2 years back, fracturing his collar bone and is not able to work anymore. The family is struggling to meet the medical expenses for Jenett and their daily expenses. They also have an outstanding loan of Rs. 2,00,000 spent on Joby’s treatment.

MicroCharity approves Rs. 22,000 against medical expenses for the current financial year.

Fund raising is closed for this cause. We have raised Rs 22,000 from 12 micro donations in 4 days. We will be paying monthly medical expenses to Jenett starting this month.
